KREWE OF SELENE HISTORY

The Krewe of Selene parades in Slidell, LA on the Friday night before Mardi Gras.

It has been in existence since 1998, founded by a group of local professional women.

Selene is named after the Greek goddess of the moon from mythology.  She is known for her great beauty as she crosses the night sky, bathing mortals in her rays of light.
